Summary/Abstract: In the present study, we will focus on the analysis of smart cities as a system of interacting subsystems in the context of green economy and green finance. Such an "intelligent/smart city" project, which lacks openness, mobility and standardization, very soon becomes cumbersome and expensive. Part of the technologies involved in and defining the smart city are the high-speed optical, sensor, wired and wireless networks necessary to realize the benefits achieved through intelligent transport systems, smart power grids and smart home networks, which in turn is linked to green economics and green finance.
