SPACE AND TIME PARADIGMS IN THE RELIGIOUS PHILOSOPHY OF DUMITRU STĂNILOAE - PLEADING FOR STUDYING DUMITRU STĂNILOAE’S WORKS FROM PHILOSOPHICAL PERSPECTIVE IN THE THEOLOGICAL HIGHER EDUCATION CURRICULA

Summary/Abstract: Previous researches focused on the theological importance of Father Professor PhD Academician Dumitru Stăniloae’s works, some of them noticing the interdisciplinary character of his assertions. During our researches we have ascertained the very pronounced philosophical character of Stăniloae’s works so that we have identified an exhaustive theological system which those works have been assembled in, and we have ascertained and argued that Stăniloae actually unfolded rather a religious philosophy by using all means which the philosophy can offer. The purpose of this paper is that of presenting the complex paradigms of the space and of the time as developed in Stăniloae’s axiology, so that to add one more argumentation for studying Stăniloae’s theological system, in the theological higher education curricula, from philosophical perspective. In our endeavor, we have been using the qualitative research method (Dörnyei 2011), in order to ensure a necessary and sufficient immersion in the subject of the matter. We think that we have succeeded in demonstrating that regarding the philosophical categories of space and time Stăniloae developed complex paradigms integrated as fundamental categories in his religious philosophy.
