Summary/Abstract: This article presents the issue of God’s will according to the writings of St. Ursula Ledóchowska. According to the author of Meditations for Ursuline Sisters of the Agonizing Heart of Jesus and Religious Writings, fulfilling God’s will is the fundament on which the entire religious life, and more generally Christian existence, is built. The main desire that characterizes a religious person has to be the desire to fulfil what God expects. Saint Ursula encourages us to look at the example of the Redeemer, whose food is to fulfil the will of the Heavenly Father. She underlines the places and ways in which God’s will is revealed. She emphasizes personal maturity and responsibility; she recommends sensitivity to the inspirations of the Holy Spirit and seeking God’s will in prayer by listening to Jesus’ confession: „I thirst” (John 19:28). According to Mother Ledóchowska, the quality of human spiritual life depends on doing God’s will.
