The Reflection of The Institutions of Antiquity in The Writing Activity of E. Haxhiademi

Summary/Abstract: In the Albanian translations of E. Haxhiademi, intertwined elements of the ancient Greek and Roman world can be traced. The classical formation of the author is reflected in aspects of form and content, and even more if we take into account the creation of the works under his signature, that are based on well-known motifs of ancient mythology. Even in the case of treating and placing in the center of the work characters that are fundamental in major events described in ancient Greek and Roman literature, the author stands out for a register of names and titles that are related to such a formation, special and unique in many respects. In the works of Haxhiademi, titled and with the names of his own characters, such motifs, which are a combination of the essential elements of two worlds, can be traced in several aspects: in the metric construction, but also in the textual and substantive one. We point out these features in this synthetic treatment of ours, which was dedicated in particular to the reflection of the institutions of antiquity in the writing activity of the latter.
