Summary/Abstract: **Abstract:** The 13th International Congress for the Study of the 18th Century was held in Graz, Austria, from July 25 to 29, 2011, organized by ISECS/SIEDS in collaboration with Karl-Franzens-University. This congress focused on two main themes: Europe in the 18th century, especially the Enlightenment, and contemporary and future perceptions during that time. Nearly a thousand participants from around the world contributed to over 150 sessions covering a wide range of fields, including history, philosophy, theology, law, visual arts, and literary studies. The congress featured discussions on topics such as Habsburg monarchy, women's monasteries, and the control of the population, providing valuable insights into the cultural and political dynamics of the period. The studies presented will be published in a collective volume in 2012.
