Summary/Abstract: In his work “Shqipëria Serafike” (Seraphic Albania) Father Marjan Prelaj writes the following on Father Leonardo de Martino: ‘Born in Greece, Italo-Albanian, le left Calabria and came to Albania as a missionary; he was gifted and talented both in poetry and in prose. He was the first from the latest generations to praise Albanian language and did also publish “L'Arpa" 1881, a precious work of Albanian literature. He passed away on 14 July1923 at 93 years old.
