Summary/Abstract: The article is a detailed account of the communication held at the NMHM conference on October 27-28, 2022. It focuses on “archaeological investigations” in the archeology depository of the National Museum of History of Moldova, which continues to surprise us. In our contribution, we present and analyze a wide variety of ceramic fragments: rims, bottoms, walls belonging to the category of fine, semi-fine and rough ceramics with various decorations, as well as four stone tools: 2 axes, 1 adze and a fragment of a polished tool. The revealed archaeological finds are typical for communities of the Gumelnița culture of the Bolgrad-Aldeni type. The recovered material is very rich, which makes it possible to trace the intensity of the habitation of the early Gumelnița culture bearers along the Yalpug River and in its basin. We hope that the discovered information will contribute to the identification of traces of a prehistoric settlement in the course of field research.
