Summary/Abstract: The article presents typological analysis data and technological parameters confirming the Gravettian orientation in the development of the stone industry and the assemblage of the Upper Paleolithic multi-layered site of Cosăuți. The main attention is paid to the features of the primary knapping technique aimed at obtaining bladelets and microbladelets, the technique of burin chipping and a fairly advanced insertion technique. As expected, this was reflected in the appearance of such leading types of flint tools as Gravettian points (arrowheads), “elongated rectangles” (insertions), needle-shaped single points with two blunt edges and a straight profile, miniature lamellar inserts with intentional breakage of one or both ends. There are also original features that allow us to consider the Cosăuți complex as one of the variants of the Epigravettian culture, which spread to the southwest of the Russian Plain 20 thousand years ago.
