Summary/Abstract: The 2024 rescue excavations had the objective of recovering the archaeological information disturbed by unauthorized constructions in the archaeological site of Horodiște “La Cot”, Rezina district. The research, carried out in a section measuring 4.8×4.8 m, determined that the unauthorized works destroyed a cultural layer that was rich in Iron Age vestiges. The investigations led to the discovery of a vast pottery collection comprising 986 fragments, two almost intact cups, a restorable jar-type vessel, as well as two miniature vessels. At the same time, several inventory items were also identified, among them a stamp for the application of ornaments on pottery, spindle whorls etc. Following the analysis of the recovered artifacts it was established that they belong to the 10th-9th centuries BC (Saharna culture) and to the period of the 4th-3rd centuries BC (Getic culture). As such, the research results from 2024 confirm an intense occupation of the “La Cot” promontory’s southeastern part in the Iron Age, especially during the Saharna culture’s development period.
