Summary/Abstract: Bronze cast helmets of the Early Scythian period in Eurasia were represented until recently by only 23 finds. Of these, 16 were found in Eastern Europe, mainly in the North Caucasus. There is no information about the place of discovery of 3 helmets. Six armors come from Central Asia (Western Siberia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia) and all of them are accidental finds. Only 8 helmets (North Caucasus) were found in burials. According to the complex of finds they belong to the 7th century BC. The head armor found in the North Caucasus was named “Kuban” helmets, given the first finds and the concentration of this armor in this region. The published helmet was also found in Kuban in 2020. Unfortunately, the conditions of its discovery are not known. The article gives a full description of the armor and provides a comparative analysis of it against the background of all bronze helmets of the Early Nomadic period in Eurasia. The features peculiar to this artefact are noted, and the results of the study of the elemental composition of the metal from which the armor is cast are given. The published helmet “Kuban-2020” expands the source base for this very few categories of protective armor of early Eurasian nomads.
