Summary/Abstract: The present study analyzes an archaeological assemblage consisting of 86 objects, of which 64 were made of bone, 12 of shell, eight of antler, and two of tortoise carapace found in the settlement of Techirghiol Dealul Minerva - Paloda, within the archaeological campaign of 2020. The archeological assemblage is quite fragmented, generally lacking the active end of the pieces, which provides us with information about the use and, implicitly, the activities carried out by the respective community. Within the bone pieces, the high standardization in the selection of blanks draws attention, with the predominance of the Bos taurus ribs and the Ovis aries/Capra hircus bones. However, there are also rare blanks in the bone industry such as bird bone. Red deer antler, as raw material, has a secondary role. Unio and Cardium shells were used, while in terms of imports, we can only mention a fragment of a Glycymeris shell. At the typological level, the pointed tools predominate, followed by bevelled tools, spatulas, hammers, handles, and the category of ornaments includes two appliqués, a tubular bead and a bracelet. The recovery of blanks is also important because they provide us with information about the debitage operation, the marks of this phase being usually destroyed by the shaping operation. The relevance of the study cannot be questioned because, so far, the characteristics of the osseous industry specific to the Hamangia culture are little known, and can make a decisive contribution for drawing a model of animal resource exploitation for the mentioned period.
