Summary/Abstract: This religious community of Moldovan Catholics presents interesting linguistic particularities, noted by some researchers such as Nicolae Iorga, Radu Rosetti, Gustav Weigand, Dumitru Mărtinaș, Márton Gyula, Bakó Géza, Ștefan Meteș, Szabó T. Attila, Francisc Mattas, Mikecs László, and others. The attention of some of them was primarily drawn to the sibilant pronunciation observed in the Ceangăi. Ioan Dănilă reviews their opinions and finds that "Hungarian and Romanian specialists have shown inconsistencies in addressing one aspect or another, which has led to a slowdown in the process of understanding the specific dialect of the Ceangăi.
