Summary/Abstract: The competences of teachers, as well as their way of working in an inclusive school, represents the key role of educational work. If the teacher strives for teamwork, better cooperation with parents of students, professional associates and experts in the field of inclusive education, success is guaranteed. The teacher has a decisive role in creating an inclusive culture, a positive atmosphere, changing children's attitudes, breaking prejudices about inclusion, representing diversity and adapting educational work to all students regardless of their abilities and opportunities. If they improve their work and educate themselves formally and informally, teachers can expect an improvement in their work in an inclusive school. The competences of teachers in an inclusive school should take into account the individual abilities and possibilities of each student and their parents. In an inclusive school, attention is paid to the cooperation of teachers with students' parents, professional associates and other experts in inclusive education. This is why it is important for the teacher to build competencies, such as communication skills, collaborative skills, responsibility towards work, exchange of opinions and respect with other participants in educational work.
