Summary/Abstract: The article discusses selected technological aspects of 19th century photographic prints on paper. The author describes original manipulations in the form of retouching of the photographic images as well as adding inscriptions by the photographers. The paper subsequently discusses secondary manipulations in the form of notes and amateur corrections made by the owners of the vintage photographs. Numerous examples of such alterations are shown on selected prints from the collection of photographs of the Kórnik Library. The considerations presented in the article show the point of view of a conservator-restorer.
