THE GOD IS LOVE NATIONAL STUDENTS COMPETITION AS A BASIS FOR CULTURAL AND RELIGIOUS DIALOGUE IN THE BULGARIAN SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

Summary/Abstract: The article examines the God is Love National Students Competition as an opportunity for cultural and religious dialogue. The competition provides a basis for dialogue on several levels: for personal communication between students, teachers, clergy of different denominations based on creative interpretation of religious feelings and ideas. Dialogue between institutions involved in organization and conduct of the student competition – Ministry of Education and the dioceses of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, dialogue between Church, school and society 292 about the role of religion in the lives of children and young people from various denominations in Bulgaria.
