Summary/Abstract: The concept of theosis, probably less familiar to the Western Protestant theologian, is a cornerstone of Eastern Orthodox teaching. Yet, even for the Transylvanian Reformed theologian, positioned at the crossroads of East and West, understanding theosis holds significant value. This study delves into the formation of the doctrine of deification, exploring its dogmatic foundation, historical development and key elements. Ultimately, we seek to uncover any potential connections between theosis and the Reformed tradition.
