Online activity time management – dilemmas and challenges

Summary/Abstract: With the spread of the Internet and the multitude of devices on which it is available, Internet users, regardless of age, began to devote more and more time to their presence on the Internet. This carries certain consequences, not only positive but also negative. The aim of this article is to justify the need for scientific reflection and empirical research on the issues of cultural and social consequences of excessive activity of Poles in cyberspace and to provide the author’s recommendations regarding daily time management using the management functions: planning, organizing, self-motivation and control. The conclusions presented in the article are the result of non-reactive research. Content analysis of written and oral messages (disseminated via the media) and the desk research method, which involves the analysis of secondary sources, were used. The obtained results confirm the thesis about the increasing dominance of the virtual dimension in the lives of Poles to the detriment of activities in the real world.
