Supercell storm from July 13/14, 2024 as an example of extreme weather events in the Świętokrzyskie region

Summary/Abstract: Progressive climate change is causing more and more frequent occurrence of extreme weather events. The aim of this study was to identify the causes and consequences of a thunderstorm that passed through the area of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship on the night of 13 to 14 July 2024, as an example of an extreme weather event. This storm developed on a cool atmospheric front that displaced tropical masses. Most damage occurred in the western and central parts of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, with a total damage path of approximately 110 km.
