Summary/Abstract: Contemporary religious indifference is a complex and expanding phenomenon, characterized by a declining commitment to traditional religious beliefs and practices. This phenomenon is influenced by multiple social, cultural and technological trends, including secularization, globalization and the diversification of cultural values. Religious indifference manifests itself in apathy towards religious institutions and a retreat from traditional practices and doctrines, leading to a search for spirituality in alternative forms or an orientation towards humanistic and rational perspectives. In the context of globalization, access to diverse faiths and philosophies, as well as the influence of digital technologies, have facilitated an expansion of spiritual options, but have also contributed to a fragmentation of religious identities. This reality challenges both traditional religious institutional frameworks and spiritual communities that face challenges in attracting and retaining followers. Contemporary religious indifference can also have significant social implications, affecting community cohesion and inter-human relations. The study of this phenomenon is essential for understanding the current religious landscape and the impact of socio-cultural changes on human beliefs and values. Religious indifference, although often perceived as a form of apathy, may at the same time signal an opportunity for the rediscovery and redefinition of spirituality, adapted to the multicultural and interconnected context of today's world.
