Summary/Abstract: The term posthuman reveals the contemporary crisis of humanity, which is confronted with the idea of a new identity that embraces alterity and hybridization with technical elements. This type of vision implies not only that the body can be invaded and transformed technologically, but also that the human being in its entirety can be decentralized and subjugated by the use of technology. Enki Bilal’s science fiction film, Immortal (Ad Vitam), introduces us into a hybrid and dystopical world, which mirrors the anxieties of an alienated and fragmented future society that the present realities seem to envisage.
