Health Tourism in Turkey's Importance and A Research on Determining the Reasons for Preference

Summary/Abstract: The demand for health tourism that people prefer in order to be treated or protect their health is increasing day by day. The purpose of this study, the tourists to raise awareness of Turkey's health tourism potential to reveal the reasons for choosing Turkey, entrepreneurs to encourage them to invest in health tourism business and to determine tourists' expectations of the health tourism business. Qualitative research method was applied in the research method and semistructured interview technique was used to obtain the data. Interviews were made with tourists from 12 different countries participating in health tourism activities in three hotels in Yeşilyurt village, Gure and Davutlar. Within the scope of the study, firstly, health tourism, health services and tourism entrepreneurship were examined conceptually and a literature review was made in the related fields. Preferred because of the findings by Turkey; Have improved health services and the price of eligibility, call solution to the health problems of Turkey's possibilities to treat people who have the capacity to do both holiday and is also suitable climate.
