Summary/Abstract: This report examines various schools of strategic thought and strategic management, analyzing their influence on the formulation and implementation of business strategies. Ten schools of strategic thought are identified and categorized into formalized and informal approaches. Formalized schools (design, strategic business planing, and positional) rely on systematic and methodical approaches, including strategic planning and competitive positioning. Informal schools (entrepreneurial, cognitive, learning organizations, power, and cultural) emphasize the roles of leadership, corporate culture, and adaptability in strategic management. The report interprets the different approaches and their significance in the dynamic business environment, highlighting the need to combine strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial behavioral model.
