Owszem, w różnoraki sposób do niej nawiązuje. [z recenzji dr hab. Grzegorza Pełczyńskiego, prof. Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego]

It was initially researched by the Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD), Bulgaria during Autumn 2005 and Spring 2006. It was compiled and drafted by Mr. Philip Gounev, Research Fellow, Centre for the Study of Democracy and Mr. Marko Hajdinjak, Researcher, International Centre for Minority Studies and Intercultural Relations, Bulgaria. // An anthropological approach was taken to better understand the reasons for civilian gun ownership and use, and the ways in which society represents these behaviours, in Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia and Montenegro (including the UN Administered Territory of Kosovo). A wide variety of research tools were used including household surveys (HHS) conducted by SEESAC and UNDP, focus group transcripts, secondary literature searches, statistical data, anthropological field studies, the Internet, print and electronic media.

The gardening in Hungary owes much to three Bulgarian settlements: Lyaskovets, Draganovo, Polikraishte. Two museums (in Budapest and Lyaskovets) testify to the importance of this link in Bulgarian-Hungarian relations. Draganovo is a village in Gorna Oryahovitsa Municipality, in Central Bulgaria. Draganovo is known in the area for its farms and vegetable gardens. Due to the fertile soil around the village, it is one of the main producers of cabbage and tomatoes in the central/northeastern regions of Bulgaria. After World War II gardeners from Draganovo has been dispatched to Hungary and other parts of Europe to help rebuild the land and make it fertile again. The river Yantra flows through the village. The river contributes for the village's fertile soils. In this book, you will find specific words, part of the dialect of speech from the village Draganovo, collected in a dictionary by Rumen Stoyanov.

This book is dedicated to those, who wish for a stress-free natural environment for themselves, their children and their children’s children. The narrative tells the story of how investments – a critical factor in the global economy – can mitigate the impact of climate change. Finding a way for the key corporate governance players to reconcile economic and sustainable development criteria is the main theme. This is a point that needs to be understood by the global community, because, unlike financial crises, the ill effects of global warming can not be reversed.Working on sustainable development issues from the vantage point of corporate governance is a continuous journey, as new topical phenomena emerge and their proper place must be found in the scientific narrative.English. First edition (Updated First Bulgarian edition, 2018)

This anthology book is published on the occasion of the bicentennial of the birth of Friedrich Engels, an exceptional thinker and theorist of the revolution. Editors Maroje Višić and Miroslav Artić gathered renowned domestic and international scientists who tried to reevaluate Engels' works and his scientific contribution. The idea behind the book is to point out the everlasting value and significance of Engels’ revolutionary philosophy. Contributing authors offered analytical reading of Engels' ideas, addressing pressing issues in economics, politics, religion, feminism, ideology and in other segments of contemporary society. The papers in an anthology are organized under the chapters: The Reception of Engel’s Philosophy, Actuality of Engels Today with subchapters on working-class and precariat, peasantry as the subject of change, early Christianity as an inspiration; and the last chapter is Revalorization of Family and State. The first chapter tackles the questions if Engels was more than an interpreter of Marx or simply the first Marxist who contributed to the banalization of Marx. It then investigates reception of Engels’ philosophy in ex-Yugoslavia specifically and in philosophical theory in general. The second chapter demonstrates actuality and relevance of Engels today by discussing the topics of working-class and precariat, by making comparison between early industrial society and contemporary society and by tracking development of socialism from utopia to a science. Chapter also deals on the peasantry whose role as a subject of change is thoroughly problematized. Special part of the chapter is dedicated to the influence of the practice of early Christianity on the formation of Engels’ revolutionary idea and to what extent original Christian community served affected the development of Engels’ thought. Final chapter brings papers that, under new circumstances, re-examine the understanding of the state-family relation and their dynamic. This comprehensive anthology attempted to revalorize and appraise Engels’ own contribution to science and philosophy 200 years after his birth. For this it was necessary to “divorce” Engels from Marx so that the fallacy of statement that Engels was second violin to Marx becomes striking.Chapter one tackle the question of whetherEngels was more than an interpreter of Marx or simply the first Marxist to contribute to the banalization of Marx.= Engels' reception is then examined both in the former Yugoslavia and in philosophical theory in general.Special part of the chapter is dedicated to influence of the practice of early Christianity on the formation of Engels’ revolutionary idea. That is, to what extent the examples of the original Christian communities influenced the development of Engels' thought

The lexicon is divided into four chapters. The first one is a detailed introduction, where we present a professional background of our topic, the significance of our research, the structure of our work, as well as the used literature and sources, in addition to an overview of the Arab-Hungarian relations. In the second and longest chapter, we portray biographies of the Arab personalities. In the third one, we examine the most important historical events in the Arab world, such as the Arab-Israeli wars, the nationalization of the Suez Canal, and the parallel crisis of 1956. In the last chapter, we briefly introduce concepts related to the stories and biographies found in the volume.Only a few results of Arabic historiography have been integrated into modern Hungarian research. Therefore, we consider it a priority to fill this gap. The aim of this work is to create a lexicon in which we gather – in the form of articles – the most eminent Arab personalities (approximately 1000), who were/are decisive in political, economic, military or even cultural life and others associated with the Arab world.

In this paper, the author presents the new evidences on the life and beneficium (dotation) of Vid Ostojić-Marinić, the bishop of Krbava, who originated from the medieval Croatian nobility of the island of Korčula. Based on the archival sources, the author has depicted the beneficium of the last bishop of Krbava diocese, who was remembered in the local historiography of the 18th and 19th centuries as the constructor of the altar of St. James as well as of the pulpit in the cathedral in Korčula. As it was recorded in the medieval sources, Bishop Ostojić decided to construct the pulpit “in order to save his soul as well as the souls of his deceased, successors and heirs”. Bishop Vid Ostojić was a son of Ostoje Marinić, who was elected in 1403 as member of noble deputation of the community of Korčula to King Ladislas of Naples. The beneficium of Bishop Ostojić existed from 1456 to the end of the 19th century, more precisely to the 1894, when it was sold to Franko Ostojić, the bishop’s descendant, for the amount of 298 florins. Finally, for the first time, the coat of arms of the Bishop Ostojić from Blato as well as the family genealogy are presented in the paper. This coat of arms was made in the high quality renaissance workshop in the middle of the 15th century.

The book before you is dedicated to our dear colleague and friend Zef Mirdita. In this way, we want to thank him for his exceptionally fruitful, almost 50-year scientific work, and especially for the days he has spent and still spends with us at the Croatian Institute of History in Zagreb from 1993 to the present day. Professor Mirdita has also been an honorary member and advisor of the Albanian Institute (Albanisches Institut) in St. Gallen (Switzerland) since its foundation in 2002. Although he retired in 2004, the scientific community of the Croatian Institute of History will always consider him its distinguished member whose research results are an indispensable part of not only Croatian and Albanian but also European historiography. His life and scientific path took place (and still actively takes place) between Croatia and Albanians (especially Kosovo).

The educational structure of the population of the Slovak Republic (SR) is a dynamic system that has been formed over many years and is constantly changing dynamically and will change in the future. The main goal of the contribution was to evaluate and compare changes in the educational structure in the regions of the Slovak Republic within the period 2001-2021, based on the data on the highest level of education achieved by inhabitants of the Slovak Republic. Research data were obtained from available results of the census of inhabitants, houses, and apartments in years 2001, 2011 and 2021. The comparative analysis of the data was carried out by descriptive methods of mathematical statistics using table and graphic presentation of results. Results showed that over the past twenty years, there has been a significant increase in the population of university-educated residents in Slovakia, the number of residents with primary education and with lower secondary education (GCE O Level) have decreased; the share of residents with the complete secondary education (GCE Advanced Level) has remained stable within the population development.

Electoral behavior and thus the stability of municipal councils were determined by political and economic aspects of social transformation, including organizational irrationality in the early 1990s in Czechia. Given these facts and the growing polarization of space, it turns out that there are a number of small "non-viable" municipalities in the Czechia, which also show specific – high or low – values of stability of local political elites (municipal councils) and relatively unfavorable social, economic, demographic and other parameters. For these reasons, the ambition of the presented text is to reveal, through quantitative analysis, territorial differentiation of the stability of local political elites and selected factors, that either individually or in context, influenced changes in the staff of municipal councils in 1994–2018 in the Czechia.
