MĂRTURII DOCUMENTARE REFERITOARE LA ACTIVITĂȚILE ECONOMICE ALE EVREILOR DIN JUDEȚUL CÂMPULUNG ÎN PRIMA JUMĂTATE A SECOLULUI XX
Since the beginning of the 20th century, Bucovina had registered an extraordinary leap in terms of economic development, trade, population growth, development of culture and social life, non-discrimination of people of different nationalities or religions. Largo sensu, the province then experienced an upward development trend in the first half of the 20th century, even though it went through two world wars and changed its state affiliation, passing from the Austro-Hungarian Empire to the Kingdom of Romania. The continuous development of the region was mainly due to the good coexistence at all levels (social, cultural, economic) between all national minorities, to the lack of ethnic or religious discrimination, they finding the possibility to “reinvent” themselves from an economic and social point of view. The present article, based entirely on archival resources, tries to highlight the contribution of Jews to the economic life of the Câmpulung county during the Greater Romania period.
