The paper presents an example of using song and dance as an efficient approach to both linguistic and sociocultural competences. The focus is put on the ways of exploring the precedentаl text Kalinka. The case is considered as one of the main means of linguоcultural orientation in the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The necessity to study such cases is defined by its active use and presence of cultural component determining the valuable priorities of Russian world view.

This article describes the complex methodological background as well as diverse education forms developed by the multilingual Atelier Kilikan, Freiburg, between 2015 and 2018. It puts an accent on the intercultural and translingual potential, which needs to be widely discovered among bilingual children raised in the multicultural environment in Freiburg (located in the border area between Germany, France and Switzerland). It presents some examples of workshops and language courses for kids of Bulgarian descent, as well as some intercultural methods represented in the complex art installation “The multilingual monster” created by children of different origin, artists and pedagogical mentors. The methodology provides different ideas on how bilinguals can be encouraged to transfer cognitive and academic abilities from one language to another (translan-guaging) and thereby effectively increase their competences in the target language which they currently learn: In this regard, the methods presented here can be used in non-formal education courses of migrant, minority and family languagesThis article describes the complex methodological background as well as diverse education forms developed by the multilingual Atelier Kilikan, Freiburg, between 2015 and 2018. Слово за звездата Ирани: история на текста и критическо издание

The object of the article is a late legend – The Story of the Irani Star – which might have originated among the Eastern Orthodox Slavs in the 15th c. The plot revolves around the Star of Bethlehem, the birth of Jesus, and the pilgrimage of the Magi (cf. Matthew 2: 1–12). The article discusses the narrative, its structure and the history of the text, with a focus on the edition and reconstruction of the text. The Story is published according to the copy found in Miscellany No 143 (504), 258v–265r, dated to the 16th c., which is part of the manuscript collection of the Joseph-Volokolamsk Monastery. Today, the manuscript is kept in the Russian State Library (Moscow, Russia). The edition is prepared in comparison with four copies of the legend dated to 15th and 16th c.

Езикът на едно писмо на Иван Н. Момчилов от 1848 година (Граматични особености)

The report is written in connection to the language of one letter written by the Bulgarian Revival writer Ivan N. Momchilov. The article exposes important grammatical peculiarities of the language of this text. The review shows that Ivan N. Momchilov contributes to the approval of a series of grammatical norms, inherent to the contemporary Bulgarian language.

DIDAKTISIERUNGSVERSUCH DER PHRASEOLOGISMEN MIT DER KOMPONENTE "LICHT" / "SVETLO" IN DEUTSCHEN UND SERBISCHEN PHRASEOLOGISMEN IM DAF-UNTERRICHT

In diesem Beitrag wird versucht ein phraseodidaktisches Lehr- und Lernkonzept zur Vermitt- lung der Phraseologismen anzugeben, die die Komponente Licht / svetlo enthalten. Dabei dient die deutsche Sprache als Ausgangsprache und die serbische Sprache als Zielsprache. Dieser Beitrag soll besonders Germanistikstudenten oder Deutschlernenden auf den Niveaustufen B1 oder B2 hilfreich sein. Das Erlernen der Phraseologismen im Deutschunterricht ist nicht immer einfach, deshalb ist das Ziel dieses Beitrags den Lernenden die Phraseologismen, welche die Komponente Licht / svetlo enthalten näherzubringen. Der Beitrag ist in zwei Teile gegliedert. Aus verschiedenen Wörterbüchern wurden insgesamt 28 Phraseologismen herausgesucht und nach dem Äquivalenzgrad sortiert, um so Unterschiede und Ähnlichkeiten für den Lernenden klar darzustellen. Dieser einheitliche Überblick bildet den ersten Teil der Arbeit. Es wurde die kontrastive Methode verwendet. Der zweite Teil besteht aus den darauffolgenden Übungen, die sowohl Deutschlernenden, aber auch Deutschlehrenden von Hilfe sein können. Die ausgewählten 8 Übungen können im DaF-Unterricht Gebrauch finden, teils aber auch von den Lernenden individuell genutzt werden. Sie dienen zur Rezeption aber fördern auch die Produktion der Phraseologismen.

ИЗ ОНОМАСТИКЕ СЕЛА ДОЊА САБАНТА КОД КРАГУЈЕВЦА

The paper investigates the onomastic data collected in Donja Sabanta, Sumadija region, which administratively belongs to the municipality of Kragujevac. Microtoponyms and antroponyms (personal and family nicknames and hypocoristic names) of all the residents who live in the village, according to the information we possess, either permanently or from time to time (in order to do seasonal agricultural work on the land). In order to establish the dynamics of the antropomasticons from the village of Donja Sabanta we have consulted the birth register, and thus compared the system of personal first names of the people born between 1930 and 1960 and those born between 1990 and 2020. The aim of this paper is to list all the toponyms and antroponyms and analyses them from the structural and semantic aspect. The secondary aim is to describe the stability and changes in the system of official names of the residents of the village Donja Sabanta.The collected microtoponyms are motivated by the versatile natural and cultural characteristics of the physiogenous and antropgenous phenomena in the village. In the formation of the microtoponyms in Donja Sabanta we have noticed all the deriva- tive models and suffixes which function in the toponymy of (the central) Serbia. The system of male personal nicknames stands out within the system of antroponymous categories by its numerousness and versatility. Apart from -a forms, which are domi- nant in Sumadija, a significant number of male hypocoristic names ending in -o has been confirmed (Pero, Aco and similar).At the end of the paper we enclose a register in alphabetical order of microtoponyms and antroponyms which were collected in the field.

GRAMMATICAL AND LEXICAL ASPECT IN ENGLISH AND SERBIAN: A CONTRASTIVE LITERATURE REVIEW

The paper presents a contrastive literature review of the grammatical and lexical aspect in English and Serbian. The motivation behind choosing this subject matter was found in the inconsistency that led scholars to class linguistic phenomena related to the grammatical and lexical features of verbs in the same category. Namely, the category of grammatical aspect was approached in different ways for a long time, various meanings were attributed to this catego- ry, and new terminology was introduced so as to describe language phenomena related to this grammatical category in a more detailed way. This resulted in the study of the lexical aspect as a subcategory of the grammatical aspect. Therefore, the primary goal of this review paper is to gain insight into the current tendencies related to the grammatical and lexical aspect, as well as to provide a systematic presentation of the approaches to the grammatical and lexical aspect in relevant English and Serbian literature and grammar books. The research revealed that the category of lexical aspect was often studied within the category of grammatical aspect due to its distinctive features stativity, dynamicity, punctuality, and durativity, which make it similar to the category of grammatical aspect. However, contemporary authors in both lan- guages make a clear distinction between these two categories, emphasizing that grammatical aspect is a grammatical and a subjective category because it is expressed by verbal inflectional morphology and periphrases and because it reflects the speaker’s viewpoint on a situation, whereas lexical aspect is expressed by the verb meaning and verbal derivational morphology, thus being considered an objective category.

This article traces the use of the future particle i/j ‘shall, will’ in Bulgarian dialects spoken in the region of the Sredna Gora to Middle Northern Bulgaria, in South-Eastern Bulgaria, and in Bessarabia. The authors argue that this phenomenon is one of the characteristic features of the socalled Chijshij Bulgarian dialects in Bessarabia and that, in them, it is inherited from the dialects in the region of Sredna Gora which is the land of origin of the above-mentioned Bulgarian dialects in Bessarabia.

This article discusses future tense particles in a Bulgarian dialect spoken in European Turkey (in the villages around the towns of Uzunköprü and Babaeski). The dialect is spoken by Muslim Bulgarians who left Bulgaria at the end of the 19th century or later. Most of them originate from Middle Northern Bulgaria but some of them have come to this place from Northern Greece and have mixed with the others. There is a variety of future tense particles in the dialect under consideration: ša, sa, za, ža ‘shall, will’. The authors show examples of the use of the above mentioned particles and draw conclusions about their origin in the dialect analyzed.

The paper dwells on the semantic category ‘size-dimension’. It focuses on the specifics of the absolute and relatively linguistic size and in particular, the linguistic interpretation of the size in the light of normative evaluation. The linguistic structures interpret the size of the objects from four different kinds of norms: the norm of kind (the average standard in the representation of the size feature), the situational norm, the norm of proportionality and the norm of expectation. Each one of these kinds has its own linguistic representation. The object of description and analysis in the present paper are the exhibit structures reflecting the size with respect to the situational norm, the norm of proportionality and the norm of expectation in Russian and Bulgarian languages.

To Choose or not to Choose Violence? – Visiting how the Meanings of the Romanian Verb “a bate” Translate into Hindi

The present paper follows the journey of the Romanian verb “a bate” (to beat, to hurt, to fight etc.) through the depths of language, uncovering its many uses. Bridging cultural and linguistic distances, it also explores the contextual requirements and changes that happen in Hindi when wanting to obtain the same meanings as those conveyed by the Romanian verb. In addition, it reflects on how a social media post that starts out as a topic for ridicule may become a source for semantic analyses.

GRAMATIKA ARAPSKOG JEZIKA – DR. ŠAĆIR SIKIRIĆ, MUHAMED PAŠIĆ, MEHMED HANDŽIĆ – ČETRDESET GODINA OD POSLJEDNJEG IZDANJA

This article recollects the time, cultural and historical circumstances, of this publication, from the first initiative, public invitation, setting the conditions and the final decision of the Majlis of the IC to start the project Gramatika arapskog jezika. The decision to entrust this project to eminent scholars in the field of oriental philology, renowned interpreters and prominent intellectuals engaged in social development, Dr Šaćir Sikirić, professor and the director of Sharia Law School, Muhamed Pašić, director of Sharia law Gymnasium, and Mehmed Handžić, mudarris and director of Gazi Husrevbey Madrasa, was brought at the session of the Ulama-majlis held on October 3rd 1934. Ahmed Mehmedbašić and Ahmed Burek were selected to write a review of the textbook. These scholars were engaged in this project for a year and a half. The decision was made to deliver the manuscript straight after its completion for publishing at State Press in Sarajevo, thus to have a textbook ready for the academic 1937, for the students of Madrasa and other related schools. Since its first edition in 1936, Gramatika arapskog jezika, by Dr. Šaćir Sikirić, Muhamed Pašić and Mehmed Handžić, has seen three official editions, the last was in the year 1984.

On 21 and 22 October 2024, the Eleventh Forum on Bulgarian Grammar was held in Sofia, focusing on Morphological Inflection in Bulgarian: Development and Current State. The forum was organised by the Institute for Bulgarian Language Prof. Lyubomir Andreychin at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Bulgarian Language Department at South-West University Neofit Rilski. It was dedicated to Prof. Dr. Ivan Kochev on the occasion of his 90th anniversary in 2025.

FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE PROCESSING - A COGNITIVE AND LINGUISTIC PERSPECTIVE

Fictive motion, a subtype of figurative language, describes static objects in a way that implies movement. Phrases like “The highway cuts through the valley” create an impression of motion without any physical displacement. This linguistic phenomenon is linked to cognitive and neural mechanisms, including embodied cognition, mental simulation, and neural activation in brain areas such as the left inferior frontal gyrus and posterior superior temporal sulcus. Research indicates that fictive motion engages both linguistic and perceptual-motor systems. Studies utilizing eye-tracking and the visual-world paradigm provide empirical insights into how fictive motion is processed. Participants exhibit longer fixation times and increased saccadic movements when interpreting fictive motion sentences, suggesting mental simulation of movement. These findings support the embodied cognition theory, which argues that language comprehension is grounded in sensory and motor experiences.

"CLUTTER" AND "INTEGRATION" IN THE DWELLING SPACE. THE METAMORPHOSES OF MEANINGS

Our theme relates, from an anthropological and social perspective, to how dwellings, isolated from the consecrated space, are represented. It is based on personal experience, through participatory observation in an island space, Tenerife, Los Abrigos, a place of notoriety for celebrations that bring together participants from all continents. What is remarkable is the preservation of the idea that the cave-space, the rock dwelling has remained an inhabited space. According to the definition of Clark Wissler, who considered second worldwide in the field of anthropology, after E. B. Taylor, culture can be analyzed from four perspectives: psychological, genetic, descriptive and normative. The analysis of the cultural aspects that we found in the field research in February 2024 on Tenerife can be thus interpreted, focusing on the symbolism and meaning metamorphoses of the cave-dwelling concept. It is a reinterpretation of two acculturation visions, "clutter" and "integration" in the dwelling space.
