Dzieci z rodzin z problemem alkoholowym stanowią grupę wysokiego ryzyka dotyczącego zaburzeń zdrowia psychicznego. Ostatnie szacunki wskazują, że w Polsce około 1,5 mln dzieci wychowuje się przy pijącym rodzicu. Dzięki licznym badaniom empirycznym coraz lepiej rozumiemy ich sytuację. Zaburzenia psychiczne rodziców bezpośrednio wynikające z uzależnienia oraz z nim współistniejące mogą negatywnie oddziaływać na zdrowie fizyczne i psychiczne dzieci i młodzieży na różnych etapach życia, jak też prowadzić do wystąpienia objawów eksternalizacyjnych i internalizacyjnych. Najnowsze prace naukowe podkreślają jednak duże zróżnicowanie populacji dzieci alkoholików, a wiedza empiryczna pozwala na coraz lepsze rozumienie mechanizmów odpowiedzialnych za to zróżnicowanie. Książka stanowi kontynuację zainteresowań autorki problematyką funkcjonowania dzieci alkoholików. The author conceptualises his work as a contribution for clarifying the trustworthiness of virtual environment. The first part describes the theoretical background of the phenomenon of lying, not only in the context of virtual environment. The second part of the monograph takes into account such factors as motivation, influence, age, where lying on the Internet is described as perhaps the most complex. The subsequent part is focused on description of the relationship of individuals towards virtual friends and acquaintances in the context of lying and also making new romantic relationships. The last part is devoted to finding the most suitable predictors of lying on the Internet.

It brings the results of original empirical research, where data source is based on written narratives of pupils and teachers describing their humorous experiences from school. Typical forms of school humour and functions that humor fulfills in social life and relations of pupils and teachers are examined through narrative analysis of the texts.

How do citizens form their political attitudes? How do political actors influence people’s political views in their everyday lives? Do people’s feelings towards political parties and politicians influence the public opinion? The book presents a series of laboratory experiments focused on the formation processes of citizens’ attitudes to political issues in the context of their emotional attachments to political actors. The research puts emphasis on negativity and negative feelings of citizens towards political actors and shows that this type of negative attachment influences the way people think about political issues. Since the experimental method is a newcomer in the field of Czech political science, the volume’s ambition is also to introduce experiments as a relevant and useful tool for extending knowledge of substantial political processes and phenomena.

The main research problem of the present publication is the verification of cognitive and temperamental risk factors for minors' criminogenesis. The author presents the patterns of entering into social interactions of the young people and outline their personal beliefs, which reflect how they perceive the world, interpersonal relations and their attitude towards themselves. Juvenile delinquents process social information in a specific – criminogenic – way, which favors the initiation and maintenance of criminal behavior. Processing social information by juveniles will be looked into in terms of the triggered styles of criminal thinking and confronted with potential temperamental and intellectual risk factors.

Today, the importance of organizations is increasing day by day. The multiple functions and effects of national and international organizations necessitate new studies/research in the field of organizational culture and organizational behavior. Our primary goal has been to introduce the target audience we aim to address in our book to these new concepts and to prepare the ground for new research to be done. Our book, which aims to provide information to researchers, academicians, decision makers, practitioners, students who are interested in concepts and research in the field of organizational behavior, and to contribute to the national literature, consists of 21 chapters contributed by 28 authors. As can be understood from the subject distribution of the first book of our series, these studies will fill a very important gap in the field of organizational behavior and claim to be a source of new studies. We have completed our book work in a very difficult, troubled and stressful process due to the earthquakes affecting eleven provinces centered in Kahramanmaraş, which is called the disaster of the century in our country. It is admirable that our chapter authors, who were directly affected by these earthquakes, contributed to our book under difficult conditions. For this reason, first of all, I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to all our valuable and expert chapter authors who contributed and supported each other with intense labor, devotion, patience and patience in order to produce this work. Self-regulation, is one of the key human abilities. At its core are beliefs about whether people perceive themselves as autonomous and competent beings, whether they take responsibility for their behavior, what goals they choose, how they achieve them, how they plan and organize their activities, how they make decisions, and what emotions they experience in doing so. This book provides a perspective on self-regulation as a protective factor for risk behaviors in adolescence. The issue of risk behavior in adolescents is still an open and lively topic in terms of the changing dominance of its forms, which reflect the evolution of society. Our research aims to contribute to the understanding of the functioning of selected phenomena. We believe that the book will bring a closer understanding of the issue and valuable information not only for practitioners, prevention methodologists, psychologists, but also for teachers and parents who are in daily contact with adolescents.

Insurance of basic needs including human sexuality in accordance with modern pedagogy and psychology. Our motto ""It would be less of a problem if you were to communicate more about sexuality,"" sets the direction for the development of communication about sexuality. On selected topics: the acceptance of homosexuality in societies and the problem of communication about it, as well as communication with legal representatives on sexual issues, influences the view of the need for further education in the field of human sexuality. The publication presents selected topics from the realized empirical research, in connection with the discovery and identification problem in the attitudes and skills of future experts.

The publication is focused on the area of helping professions. It extends the researched issue of sexuality to the subject of the individual's personality and his/her attitudes towards sexuality in the context of the necessary preparedness for practice. It is focused on exploring attitudes, beliefs and values regarding human sexuality, including people with intellectual disabilities, from the perspective of helping professionals. The topic is supported by opinions on communication problems about sexual issues, opinions on the ability to discuss and communicate information on sexuality, including people with intellectual disabilities. We consider that it is necessary to improve the preparedness of persons for helping professions in relation to sexuality in the knowledge and didactics level.

The international conference "Youth and Values," held biennially since 2007, has evolved into a significant platform for experts in education to share research and ideas. This year's conference, hosted in Olomouc on November 8th and 9th, featured a diverse range of topics. The collected works in this book are divided into three main areas: the general characteristics and evolution of values among young people, values within specific groups such as those with special needs and minorities, and values in relation to religion and belief. The monograph focuses on aspects of human sexual and reproductive behaviour that are the most socially serious manifestations of sexuality. The publication includes information leading to greater responsibility for one's own sexual health, and to safe and responsible sexual behaviour through which people (even those with disabilities) can meet their sexual needs at an acceptable level. It focuses on sexual abuse, including people with intellectual disabilities. Attention is given to the helping professions, the area of attitudes and sexuality including the family in which the individual with a disability occurs, and the issue of sexuality in the context of education in curriculum documents at the state and school level. The specifics of approaches in education to persons with intellectual disabilities are also described.

This publication focuses on attitudes towards homelessness and the experience of direct or hidden homelessness. The text outlines the stereotyped image of homeless people and their sub-characteristics. The data obtained from the described research investigation can serve different groups at different levels - e.g. in the framework of awareness-raising activities, formal education, professional training of social workers or in the course of establishing a relationship between helpers and homeless people.

W książce podjęto problematykę zasobów osobistych i społecznych wychowanków młodzieżowych ośrodków wychowawczych i ustalenia ich związku z dobro-stanem psychicznym. Autorka omawia znaczenie zasobów psychospołecznych w życiu człowieka oraz przybliża ich resocjalizacyjny potencjał. Wskazuje także na sytuacji, w której wtórna socjalizacja osób dorastających odbywa się w separacji od zewnętrznych, naturalnych środowisk życia. Odwołując się do literatury przedmiotu, ukazuje niekorzystny wpływ izolacji instytucjonalnej na zdrowie psychiczne adolescentów. Na tej podstawie i z uwzględnieniem wyników badań własnych przedstawia nowe rozwiązania w pracy z młodzieżą przebywającą w placówkach resocjalizacyjnych. Proponuje kierunki zmian koncentrujące się na rozwoju dobrostanu psychicznego oraz rekomenduje adekwatne programy, które z powodzeniem stosowane są w wielu krajach świata.
