The Civil Law Forum for South East Europe (CLFSEE) is a regional initiative sponsored by the German Gesselschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ), since recently renamed in Gesselschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), consisting of leading experts in the fields of civil and commercial law from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia, and two prominent German experts, both from the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and Private International Law from Hamburg as support. The regional members were elected in a unique democratic way, based upon their scientific reputation – the members from each state were, in principle, elected by legal scholars from other states of the region. The aim of the CLFSEE is “to develop proposals and opinions for the reform and harmonization of the national legislations in the fields of civil and commercial law in the participating countries, and to monitor the reform measures in those countries from an academic and professional point of view”

Ханс Келзен, можда и највећи правник двадесетог века (тешко би било пресудити ко је већи: он или Густав Радбрух, ако је таква „пресуда“ уопште потребна), рођен је 11. октобра 1881. године у Прагу. Тог истог дана, али сто двадесет пет година касније, та зна- чајна годишњица свечано је обележена у Бечу, граду његовог детињства, дечаштва, младости, школовања и наставничке делатности све до 1930. Свечаност на највишем нивоу одржана је у препуној пленарној сали аустријског Парламента, а присуствовали су јој, поред високих званичника Републике Аустрије, бројни истраживачи Келзеновог замашног дела и професори теорије и филозофије права из многих земаља. Била је присутна и Келзенова унука Ан Федер Ли, која је за ову прилику допутовала из САД-а (Келзен је после Другог светског рата био професор у Берклију, где је и умро 19. априла 1973) и која је била срдачно поздрављена. Писац ових редова имао је јединствену прилику да присуствује том свечаном скупу.

Академик Миодраг Јовичић, који је 16. октобра оне кобне 1999. године ненадано и прерано отишао са овога света, објавио је за живота завидан број књига и других радова. У научним областима којима се бавио – а то су у првом реду уставно право, упоредно право, теорија државе и политички систем – он је био необично марљив и плодан писац. Благодарећи госпођи Славки Јовичић, рођеној сестри академика Јовичића, која је за ту сврху, с неупоредивом сестринском љубављу и приврженошћу преминулом брату, издвојила неопходна новчана средства, седам година после смрти Мише Јовичића појавили су се његови Изабрани списи.

The relations between Russia and China in the sphere of science and education have become more active in the recent decade. Annual forums and conferences, in which representatives of the scientific community of both countries participate, have been held. This paper provides an overview of the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Russia – China: History and Culture” organized on October 6–8, 2016 by the staff and lecturers of the Confucius Institute of Kazan Federal University, Institute of International Relations, History and Oriental Studies. The geography of participants was extensive, as well as the variety of problems covered by them in presentations. Thus, it allows to argue about the urgent and most important problems in the bilateral relations of the two countries.

The 9th Conference of the Australia, New Zealand and Oceania Research Association Oceania – Centre of the Pacific Rim. Kraków, (October 21, 2017), The Institute of Middle and Far East Studies and the Australia, New Zealand and Oceania Research Association (ANZORA).The Australia, New Zealand and Oceania Research Association (ANZORA) organized its 9th conference under the title Oceania – Centre of the Pacific Rim. For the first time in the ANZORA’s history, the whole organizing process was made with another partner, that is the Institute of Middle and Far East Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. Therefore the place of the speeches was not anymore outside the University but within the main building – the Auditorium Maximum. Despite the fact that ANZORA is an independent association, most of its founders graduated the Jagiellonian University. In addition, Dr Dariusz Zdziech, author of the idea of gathering academics and enthusiasts of the Pacific in a formal association, works himself in the Institute of Middle and Far East Studies.
