The paper presents some short biographical notes and traces the prehistory (referring to the works of O. Jespersen, I. I. Meshchaninov and other scholars), the emergence, and the development of the theory of functional grammar by the prominent Russian linguist A. V. Bondarko. During the France-Romania Season, the Louvre Museum hosted the first Romanian art exhibition ever organized by this prestigious museum, The Byzantine tradition of embroidery in Romania between the 15th and 17th centuries. About the standard of Stephen the Great, from April 17 to July 19, 2019. 36 exhibits from Romanian and French collections were presented to the French public, of which a unique ensemble in the world of embroidery from the collections of the National Art Museum of Romania, the National History Museum of Romania, and the monasteries Putna, Sucevița, and Three Hierarchs, illustrating the liturgical textiles used in the Orthodox churches, and the particular character of the Romanian tradition. The exhibition equally focused on the symbolic gesture made by the French state to return to Romania the battle standard of Stephen the Great in 1917, one of the most beauti-ful Romanian embroideries, created in 1500 and recovered by the French army from the Zographou monastery during the First World War. In addition, the important contribution of the researcher Gabriel Millet was high-lighted by a series of photographs and watercolours, as Millet’s pioneering volume La broderie religieuses de style byzantin led to a better understanding and promotion of the unique heritage of post-Byzantine embroidered textiles in Romania.

On November 15 and 16, 2018, within the walls of the Pedagogical University of The National Education Commission held an international conference "Identity - Independence - Media" in Krakow. The role of the media in shaping and strengthening national identity and building the countries of Central and Eastern Europe in the years 1918–2018. The conference was organized by the Institute of Information Sciences of the University of Applied Sciences. The opportunity for the scientific meeting was the 100th anniversary of independence, celebrated by the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The aim of the conference was to reflect and discuss the role of the media and libraries in building and strengthening the identity of the nations of Central and Eastern Europe in the perspective of the jubilee year 2018.

The webinar cycle Materializing-Modernity: Landscape, Architecture and Anthropology Intersections in 20th Century Rurality1 was organized and implemented from April 12, 2021, to May 6, 2021. It has been realized and implemented within the framework of the EU-funded project Materializing Modernity – Socialist and Post-socialist Rural Legacy in Contemporary Albania (MaMo), by Federica Pompejano (MSCA-IF Researcher, Academy of Albanian Studies), the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Art Studies (IAKSA), the Department of Cultural Heritage and Environment and the Laboratory of Ethnomusicology and Visual Anthropology (LEAV) of the University of Milan (UNIMI), Milan, Italy. The MaMo Webinar Cycle was part of a project that received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 896925.
