The structural and functional transformations of the Polish Armed Forces in the years 1989–2015 (selected issues)

Summary/Abstract: Th e article focuses on demonstrating the most important structural and functional transformations carriedout in Polish Armed Forces in the years 1989–2015. Th e attention was drawn to the role of diff erent factorsthat determine the scope and pace of these changes or the inconsistency in the implementation of preparedprograms assuming the restructuring of the Polish armed forces. Th e article also describes the impact of the“Partnership for Peace” program and Poland`s subsequent accession to NATO on the acceleration of theprocess of modelling the structures of the Polish Army and the results of the restructuring measures taken.
