INNOVATION IN SECURITY AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICE OF THE POLISH MARITIME ECONOMY

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the basic definitions of innovation and safety. The work embraces the author’s critical comments referring to Polish maritime economy (ME) against the background of the developed scientific and technology (S&T) concepts. Simultaneously, the deficits in the field of maritime policy, which have been affecting the overall economic security of the country are demonstrated. Assuming that the Polish Navy is an entity of ME, the author indicates the lack of doctrine and a coherent maritime strategy of the country.
