Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, information is an essential resource and a valuable asset. Like any other asset, information is potentially vulnerable and subject to various threats, whether deliberate or accidental. The methodology adopted for the study was exploratory and descriptive, focusing on document analysis of information in the field of the theme. The paper aims to focus on the operationalisation and management of the Security Operations Center (SOC), to foster and optimise the definition of policies and instruments for data loss prevention and recovery, as well as to carry out training actions for employees. The main results emphasise that cybersecurity involves a set of tools, policies, guides, risk management approaches, training actions, good practices and technologies that can be used to protect the assets of organisations and users in cyberspace, to preserve the guarantee the so-called information security triad.
