Summary/Abstract: In recent times, the universal valuation of women and their position in modern society is being questioned more and more. This is especially important within the entire economy, economic processes, as well as the green economy. The paper specifically points out the potential of female entrepreneurship in Serbia, as well as the challenges that stand in the way. The focus of the investigation is the possibility of developing female entrepreneurship in the green sector as a function of the socio-economic development of cities and municipalities, with a special emphasis on the connection between female entrepreneurship and the goals of sustainable development. This contributes to greater involvement of women in the business and economic environment increases overall employment and encourages macro competitiveness.
