Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the procedure of inspection supervision in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a special administrative procedure. The majority of authors define inspection supervision as a special form of administrative function, and which function contains the specified special types of administrative tasks and which they call control administrative tasks. The above represents a specific type of supervision of the activities of certain administrative bodies, i.e. inspection bodies, which perform this type of administrative supervision as their basic function. Regarding the process of public administration reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and according to the Public Administration Reform Strategy, this administrative procedure should be viewed in a broader framework in connection with decision-making, planning of certain policies and simpler processes, and what all together would have the goal is overall improvement for possible investments and the creation of a better business environment in relation to practice and standards in the European Union. It is precisely these modern special administrative procedures that contribute to more efficient operation and enforcement of regulations, which ultimately leads to better quality in the adoption of actions and measures. Inspection bodies should respond to contemporary challenges and practices, and primarily work on risk assessment. It is this document called the risk assessment that is necessary in order to adequately prepare for the inspection, and which document is prepared based on existing information and data, such as: data on entities that are frequent perpetrators of certain violations, data on certain degrees of risk and the like. Inspectional supervision in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has various forms in connection with the unequal and different actions of the inspection authorities. From the perspective of ensuring the legality of work, it is extremely important to point out the basic purposes of inspection supervision, that is, preventive, corrective and repressive purposes. Proposals are given for improving the current state of regulation of inspection supervision in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
