At its annual session held on 1 June 2005, the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina brought the Decision on the establishment of the new Department of Humanities. Thus, only two members remained in the existing Department of Social Sciences: academician Slavica Krnjeta and academician Boris Tihi. This created the conditions to elect members from various fields of social sciences that were not represented or were under-represented in the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After the elections of 2008 and 2012, the Department of Social Sciences now has five regular and three associate members in the Academy of Sciences and Arts. In this volume, the Department of Social Sciences published the bibliographic work of its current members, presenting to the public their long-standing scientific, professional, publishing, educational and other activities. Although the volume is limited to the area of individual action, it is evident that it includes various fields of social sciences: economics, law, sociology, pedagogy, political science. Bibliographic units are presented in accordance with the applicable norms and are standardized according to the set standards. Listed are books, text books, chapters in books/monographs, conference and magazine articles, dictionaries, entries in encyclopedias and lexicons, reviews and presentations published by the members of the Department until 2014. It is evident from this volume that the five regular and three correspondent members of the Department of Social Sciences individually published 98 books, 1 dictionary, co-authored 98 books, edited 42 books, authored 97 chapters in books and monographs, 446 works in collections (from conferences and symposia), 632 works in national and international journals, 68 encyclopedic entries, wrote 436 reviews and mentored in the preparation and defense of 41 doctoral dissertations. The above bibliography is not complete as the authors themselves made a selection and omitted their works for which they did not have the necessary information for inclusion in the bibliography. Along with the bibliography, short biographies of the members of the Department are published, showing their scientific development and pedagogical activity.
